-Parmi les dernières préparations du Solstice d’hiver chez les Germano / Scandinaves nous avons la Tour de Jul qui est en terre cuite et a quatre faces. Sur la Tour on fixe une bougie, et une deuxième à l’intérieur.
-La bougie du dessus est allumée pendant la veillée de Jul et à minuit on allume (avec cette dernière) la deuxième bougie qui est dans la Tour (sans oublier d’éteindre la 1ére).
-Cela symbolise le cycle solaire.
-Certain utilise la Tour de Jul exclusivement au Solstice d’Hivers, mais on peut très bien l’utiliser pour les autres fêtes de l’année :
- En allumant la bougie du dessus pour les fêtes entre le Solstice d’été et celui d’Hiver.
- En allumant la bougie qui est dans la Tour, entre le Solstice d’Hiver et celui d’été.

-Among the last preparations of the Winter Solstice among the Germano / Scandinavians we have the Tower of Jul which is in terracotta and has four faces. On the Tower one fixes a candle, and a second inside.
-The top candle is lit during the vigil of Jul and at midnight we light (with the latter) the second candle which is in the Tower (without forgetting to extinguish the 1st).
-This symbolizes the solar cycle.
-Some use the Tower of Jul exclusively at the Winter Solstice, but it can very well be used for other holidays of the year:
-1- By lighting the top candle for the holidays between the Summer and Winter Solstice.
-2- By lighting the candle in the Tower, between the Winter Solstice and the Summer Solstice.
