-Au début du mois de Mai de nombreux peuples célèbrent le premier jour du mois en faisant des rituels, en décorant un tronc de bouleau avec une couronne à son sommet. De leur côté les femmes entonnent des chants tout en entourant ce même mât avec des rubans de différentes couleurs. Chez les Slaves cette fête ne fait pas exception, mais plutôt que d’utiliser un mât, ces derniers se servaient d’une branche de sapin ou d’un autre arbre en bourgeon pour le décorer de rubans. Le rouge étant la couleur prédominante, les femmes chantent de magnifiques chansons en brandissant bien haut la branche de Mai.
-Nous en profitons pour honorer Lada, Déesse-mère des Dieux, Matka Ziemia, notre terre-mère, la Déesse de la vie et la fertilité Ziva ainsi que Mokosz. C’est un moment de cohésion parfaite avec le printemps.
-Une pensée et un toast seront également portés en l’honneur de la fête du drapeau Polonais, pour la gloire de la Pologne!

-At the beginning of May many people celebrate the first day of the month by doing rituals and decorating a birch trunk with a crown on its top. Women singing songs while surrounding the mast with ribbons of different colors . Among the Slavs this festival is no exception, but rather than using a mat, they used a fir branch or another tree branch in bud to decorate it with ribbons. Red being the predominant color, the women sing wonderful songs while waving the branch of May high.
