-This year, the time when the veil between the two worlds, that of the dead and the living, was a long period rocked by two of the most important rituals, the one in honor of Veles and the other obviously for the return of the soul of our deceased loved ones and for their memory. The Ancestors come to visit us during this period, that is why we prepare dishes for them to take energy and we light candles to help them find their way.
-It is an appropriate time to remember our loved ones, their loves, what they have accomplished, etc.
-First, Dzien Velesa took place to pay homage to Veles, the great horned God, the bear God, the guardian of the souls of the dead. In this dark season, he who reigns as absolute master must receive the greatest respect from us. Through fire and soil, several offerings were brought to him, as well as praises.
-Then came the moment of Dziady, a most important moment for the Slavs, we can, in addition to memory, share our emotions with the elders who came to see us during this timeless and magical interval.
-Thanks to Veles, memories to the Ancestors!
