-Le sol de la région regorge de témoignages sur les dieux et autres traditions. Aujourd’hui, c’est Odin qui remonte à la surface. La figurine mesure 5cm de haut et a été trouvée par un détectoriste dans un champ.
-Le chef de département du Musée Østfyns, affirme qu’un bon nombre de ces représentations d’Odin ont déjà été retrouvées en Scandinavie.
-La figurine représente un homme avec une barbe et les cheveux coupés au carré, et notamment un casque impressionnant avec deux « cornes ». Les deux pièces métalliques hérissées incarneraient deux oiseaux et plus probablement les corbeaux Hugin et Munin de la mythologie nordique.
-Le même genre de découverte a été faite cet été par un archéologue amateur (Torben Christjansen) à l’aide d’un détecteur de métaux sur le littoral ouest de l’île Lolland au Danemark
-C’est ce même archéologue amateur qui avait trouvé en 2014 une amulette ayant la forme du marteau de Thor. Le talisman, de la taille d’un ongle, représente le dieu Odin assis sur son trône. Sur ses épaules: les corbeaux Hugin et Munin. Ce sont justement les figurines minuscules d’oiseaux qui ont permis d’établir que la « figure abstraite » sur le trône était bien le dieu Odin car selon les sagas des Vikings, c’est lui qui était accompagné par des corbeaux.

On his shoulders there are Hugin and Munin Ravens. It is precisely the tiny figurines of birds that have established the « abstract figure » on the throne was indeed the god Odin because according to the sagas of the Vikings, it was he who was accompanied by ravens.
